O’Pierre

Oldenburg Stallion

O’Pierre received his certified breeding license on August 15, 2015 from the ISR Oldenburg Society at the Hilltop Farm Stallion Inspection.

During the inspection, O’Pierre (affectionately known around the barn as “OP”) received gait scores as high as a 9, and 8 for his jumping ability. OP has three elastic, uphill, ground-covering gaits. OP is very confident demonstrating the “good brain” he inherited from his sire and he has a high level of ride-ability.

OP’s bloodlines are impressive and read like the whose who list of successful dressage horses. OP is out of the Oldenburg Stallion Opus and is by Draco whose damsire is none other than Del Piero.

In 2016, OP was ranked 20th in the Nation for the FEI Test for 5 year-olds and was the ISR Reserve National Champion in the same category. In 2018, OP competed at third level obtaining scores as high as 68%. OP is schooling half-steps and we have no doubt that he will become a FEI Stallion.

Opus’s dressage index is one of the highest of all U.S. Stallion Testing, 140.50! He received the only 9 given in the gaits category by all four judges and one of only two 10’s given in ride-ability. Opus has won second place four times at Dressage at Devon and qualified to third level by the time he was five years old.

Dam:
Draco – is an Elite Mare Candidate Hanoverian mare and an ISR/Oldenburg premium mare.  This mare has four generations of Grand Prix sires and great grandsires. Her grand dam, SPS Wakonda produced the Oldenburg Farm approved Hanoverian stallion, Regazzoni. Draco moves much like her Grand Prix sire, Del Piero.

Dam Sire:
Del Piero – received a 142.65 in ride-ability at his stallion testing, and a 9 and 9.5 when he won the 1998 Bundeschampion National Five Year Old Dressage Champion and was Reserve Champion in the World Young Horse Six Year Old the following year in Arnheim.

Grand Sire: Olympic Idocus: is a KWPN and ISR/Oldenburg approved, international Grand Prix Dressage stallion, who participated in the 2004 Athens Olympics for the Dutch team. He is a three-time World Cup participant, placing sixth in 2007 at Las Vegas. He was the Grand Champion of his stallion performance test in 2003 and held the highest jumping score of the stallions. In 1994, Idocus was presented to the Dutch Jury at the NA/WPN inspections. He holds the highest score given in the North American Dutch Kuerings, 99AA. He scored a 9 walk, 8.5 trot, 9.5 canter, 9 for jumping, and a 9 for character. In 1994, he was the Grand Champion of Dressage and returned in 2006 to win the Grand Prix. In 2001, he returned to Holland to be approved by the stallion committee of the KWPN. He has been named by the USDF as the top sire of the Cosequin finalists, and consistently produces offspring in the top-ten lists of the Dutch Kuerings of North America. His offspring are known for their supple movement, excellent temperament, and great rideability.
